While I listened to the album, I was blown away by the clear Blake vocals, he conveys incredible emotion while performing. Skills and songwriting in a whole different light I’ll appreciate them, the album features catchy melodies and rhythms you can’t get out of your head. Furthermore, the production of the album is superb, with every element carefully crafted. “Plainsongs” songs are so charming.
With “Hideaway,” the first single from the album. The song’s lyrics are heartfelt, and the chorus of this song is particularly uplifting. While listening, sometimes you feel like you’re somewhere else, with prominent guitar elements contributing to its soulfulness, Blake sings from the heart, emphasizing each note.
“Sweet Country Lady” is another song that I want to point out from “Plainsongs,” it starts modestly and then swells with gorgeous guitars, immersing listeners in a pulsating dance experience. It’s enjoyable to listen to the vocals because they carry a bright. “Sweet Country Lady” is both catchy and exciting.
Blake has given us a little bit of everything on his all-new album, “Plainsongs” definitely elevates classic rock to the next level.
